LG Electronics is reportedly preparing to launch a tablet PC with 8.9-inch screen in the first quarter of 2011. The tablet is intended to be a competitor IPAD and will install the OS Android Google Honeycomb designed for tablets with Tegra 2 Dual Core processors, more powerful. The device called the LG (Optimus) Pad is also said to be thinner and lighter than its competitors.
Certainty launch of this tablet is obtained from the statement by a senior representative of LG Electronics said that the new tablet PC called the LG Pad will be launched for domestic and overseas market in the first quarter of 2011 when Google released Honeycomb. It also said that now is a tablet PC that is still focused on the function of e-books, movies, music, and the Internet, while LG tablet will be entering the market with more diverse content to the needs of high performance.
LG Electronics LG Pad known to have been set up by creating a special unit in early 2010. The task team is to make a tablet PC that can accommodate the interests of consumers as in North America and Europe.
